What is a CCRC

What is a CCRC

A Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) provides different levels of housing and care within one community, allowing older adults to age in place, close to loved ones who may have different care needs.

Located in Holyoke since 1981, Day Brook Village Senior Living was the first CCRC in Massachusetts and is accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC).

As a CCRC, Day Brook Village offers a full continuum of options, including independent living cottages and apartments, assistance in living apartments, and a skilled nursing center, all in one small, close-knit community.

Short-term rehabilitation is available in our skilled care center, so residents can stay here within our community if changes in health slow them down a little. They can recover and recuperate with the assistance of friendly, familiar faces, before returning to their regular routines.

When healthcare needs change or progress, the same staff is available to provide support and assistance. And couples can remain close while living in the setting most appropriate for their required level of care.
